It all started when....

Scott E. Mann, PGA moved his teaching operation to Rivermeadow Golf Club in Westbrook, Me.   The Scott Mann Golf Academy was founded,  properly named, and logoed in 2015.  Since this time, the new official outdoor home has been relocated to The Norway Country Club in Norway, Maine.  While the indoor home is located inside of Natural Fitness on Presumpscot St in Portland, Maine.

Scott brings nearly 5 decades of golf knowledge to teaching, growing up across the street from the local course Bass Rocks in Gloucester, Scott could not help but let his passion and knowledge of the golf swing and its mechanics grow. Scott brings a straight forward approach to teaching; his philosophy in teaching is “to keep it simple, too many complexities cloud the mind and prohibit the body from being able to perform efficiently.”  His career began as an outside service specialist and just 8 short years later as a Head Golf Professional at one of Maine's premier private facilities, throughout all of these steps in Scott's career the one constant thing that continued to enthrall him the most was teaching the game.  He has been mentored by some of most accomplished teachers as well as having extensive PGA training. He brings to teaching; knowledge, patience, and a contagious enthusiasm for the game of golf.

Scott has taught players of all skill levels and ages, he is a detail oriented teacher who has the understanding of vast personalities, and the ability to be diverse to serve the learning behaviors of his many students. He teaches with a calm and concise manner making players at ease allowing for great results, which in turn lowers scores and provides overall more game enjoyment. He is comfortable in all teaching settings, whether it be camps for the juniors, clinics for ladies, or in private lessons, Scott has taught the spectrum of golfers and brings to Scott Mann Golf Academy an ability to engage players of all levels.

Scott is very excited for the upcoming season at the Golf Academy.  He is looking forward to many rewarding lessons; taught and learned. Scott is currently residing in Falmouth, Maine with his wife Sara and their 3 children: Davis 9, their daughter Harper 7, and young son Elliott 2.
